Leadership Foundation for Higher EducationWe are living through another revolution in higher education – 50 years on from the Robbins Report we have a very different HE sector. The sector is still collaborative by nature, but we now have transformational changes in the business model, new sources of funding, a drive for greater distinctiveness, more intense national and international competition, new learning technology, new student (and parent) expectations and the demanding needs of a 21st century economy. That feels like a revolution without the barricades and blood on the streets. All of this presents new challenges for leadership and radically different forms of leadership development.
