Dr Annie Hughes is Head of the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre at Kingston University where she has oversight of academic staff development, curriculum development and enhancement, technology enhanced learning and enterprise education. Her disciplinary background is in Geography which she remains passionate about. In a career spanning over twenty-five years and in various roles, Annie has shared her commitment to social justice with both staff and students. She is dedicated to inclusive education and developed an award-winning Inclusive Curriculum Framework with Nona McDuff which won the Guardian Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017. Her research has been supported by her University, as well as AdvanceHE, the British Council, the Office for Students (OfS), the Royal Geographical Society and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). She is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education and a National Teaching Fellow.
